#10 – The SS Watertown Ghosts
This photo is a classic example of a genuine ghost photograph. The story behind this creepy photo dates back to December of 1924.
The SS Watertown was coming up close the Panama Canal from New York City. Someone on the ship had to clean the cargo tank of the oil tank since the ship was approaching the Pacific Ocean. The task for cleaning the cargo tank was given to James Courtney and Michael Meehan.
But, sadly, the seamen James Courtney and Michael Meehan were killed by the gas fumes. Soon after their death, following the tradition, the bodies of two seamen were committed to the ocean.
One day after their burial, several people have reported seeing two faces of James Courtney and Michael Meehan in the ocean and the event was captured on camera by Captain Tracy.
