#1 John Sedgwick

John Sedgwick

Sedgwick was a general during the American Civil War but unfortunately, he didn’t survive it. He was killed by a sniper while he was talking to his soldiers that the rival army “couldn’t hit an elephant at this distance”. As soon as he said these words, the fatal bullet hit him. Sedgwick managed to murmur in his last words that dodging was not such a bad idea after all.
