We know that the paintings and pictures whose author Andy Warhol are kind of weird. What is even more interesting is that his paintings and pictures are valued at astronomic prices and sold for extremely enormous prices.

That is the case with the painting/picture or whatever it is above. It just depicts a car burning in a car crash in multiple picture samples. Okay, the next time we will also take a picture of a car crash and try to sell it for $73.7 million, like this Andy Warhol’s painting was.

This painting was painted in 1963, and was sold in 2007 for $73.7 million to a man called Phillip Niarchos. The auction for this painting was held at the auction house Christie’s in New York.

  1. You are far away of having traced down the most expansive painting in the world! To my knowledge, this happens to be a work of Paul Gauguin painted in 1892 and entitled “Nafea faa ipoipo” (which in tahitian means “When will you marry”). It was once owned by swiss collector Rudolf Staehelin, who bought it in 1917, and sold in 2015 by his grandson to the emir of Quatar for an alleged price of $300 million.

  2. To the know-all commenter on here; NONE of these works, nor the Qatar Gauguin, could remotely be described as the most expansive in the world. See what you said, now?
